Observing the Textile Industry Recovery Through Fashion Week: Textile Industry Exhibition Economy Becomes Active Again Since September

CCTV News: China's textile and apparel industry was severely affected by the pandemic in the first half of this year, facing high inventory levels and tight cash flow, with the entire upstream and downstream industrial chain in a sluggish state. After entering August, the textile and apparel industry began to recover, and in September and October, the industry's exhibition economy became active again.

The nine-day China International Fashion Week recently concluded in Beijing. This fashion week adopted a hybrid online and offline display for the first time, with designer brands, business districts, e-commerce, and media platforms jointly driving the integrated development of all channels.

Coinciding with China International Fashion Week was the China Shaoxing Keqiao International Textile Expo. As the world's largest fabric production base, this year's expo also introduced online browsing for the first time.

This local Shaoxing company brought more than 500 fabric styles this year. Buyers from Nepal were particularly interested in two winter fabrics and signed an initial order for 30,000 meters of fabric.

Data from the China National Textile and Apparel Council also shows that since September, China's textile exhibitions have achieved remarkable results. The 2020 Shandong International Textile and Apparel Expo gathered over 1,500 brands, while the Jiangsu (Shengze) Textile Expo facilitated transactions exceeding 1.5 billion yuan through both online and offline channels.
